Design Deliverables
The existing kitchen was generous in size but inefficient due to a massive, angled island that divided the space. For the redesign, the client needed ample storage, functional work areas, and a dedicated space for entertaining. To meet these goals, we introduced dual islands: one for cooking and cleanup, and the other for casual dining and gathering.

A thoughtfully planned lighting scheme helps distinguish the two zones. Pendant lights illuminate the working island, while hardwired lamps on the entertaining island create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

As an avid cook, the homeowner had several must-haves. A fully integrated coffee station streamlines the morning routine, and the large stainless-steel refrigerator paired with an oversized freezer maintains clean, uninterrupted visual lines.

A palette of natural materials grounds the design. Custom white oak cabinetry in a wire-brushed driftwood finish is complemented by leathered Blue Dunes granite countertops. Refined details—including bronze hardware, a custom metal-trimmed hood, and rope-backed barstools with dark wood and leather seats—add depth and texture without overwhelming the space.
